Hip Arthroscopy

This is a new armoury in the treatment of hip disease. Until now, it was very difficult to visualise the hip joint with the naked eye. With the advent of Hip Arthroscopy, pre-arthritic conditions can be visualised and treated.

The most suitable patients that have predictably good results are the young athletic type, who have suffered a hip injury and have discrete cartilage tears. If you have established arthritis in your hip, a Hip Arthroscopy will help you temporise your symptoms but not cure them. If you are pre 50 years of age and have had a hip injury, you need to be investigated appropriately to asses your suitability for a good outcome from a Hip Arthroscopy.
